NYFW SPRING 2016 TREND RECAP

It is THAT time of the year again, when everyone gets dressed in their absolute favorite trends + raids the streets of the most fashionable cities with their incredible attire for FASHION WEEK. This year was the first in many that I missed NYFW. Although bittersweet, I still have my ways of getting insider information [don't you worry!] not to mention watching all the shows on style, I mean vogue.com. This season there was a ton of influence of athleisure, fluid silhouettes, soft precise lines + neutrals + beautiful bright sunset hues. I have broken out each trend below so you can see the best of the best of NYFW + also see where to get some of these trends NOW in stores!

TREND: LINGERIE MEETS SPORTSWEAR

Oversized sportswear melded with soft lingerie was a huge theme of the NYFW runways. It is a lovely juxtaposition, feminine + sports in one look. Soft silks + satins + long flowy slip dresses were key paired back to oversized bomber jackets.  This is a trend that can be started now for sure, especially if you live in a mild climate. Mix the beautiful satins with oversized jackets.

TREND: LIGHT NEUTRALS

Soft + sweet neutrals were once again a hit on the runway. Specifically colors like nude, lily white, + heather grey. Pair neutrals on neutrals, layer them + make them the centerpiece this coming spring.

TREND: SUNSET HUES

Bright sunset hues were everywhere this NYFW. Reminiscent of sitting on the Mexican shoreline drinking margaritas, these beautiful hues scream sunset in summer. Bright deep rich colors like marigold, mustard, deep coral, and bright orange. Get ready to sip margaritas while looking like your own personal sunset! If you feel extra bullish, you can add some of these lovely colors to your wardrobe now.

TREND: SATIN
