QUINOA BREAKFAST BOWL

So while I was in California the other week, I actually got obsessed with something called the quinoa breakfast bowl, aka, the healthy, dreamy, delicious way to eat quinoa for brekkie.

It is super easy and hardly requires cooking, minus the quinoa!

INGREDIENTS

1 cup quinoa

1 cup 0% greek yogurt

1 handful pecans

1 handful  sunflower seeds

1 handful blackberries

1/2 banana

2 tbs honey

1 tbs cinnamon

1 tbs cacao powder

Almond milk [optional]

Mint [optional]

To start, you must cook the quinoa. Each quinoa is different depending on the type. For mine, I used regular quinoa which required two cups of water for every one cup of quinoa. Add the water + quinoa to a pot on high heat. Cook until boiling. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and cover for 15 minutes. Please note again, the cooking of the quinoa may change depending on the type you buy! Please pay attention to the packaging!

After the quinoa cools, add it to a bowl filling one half side of the bowl. Add the honey and cinnamon to the quinoa and stir in. Add the greek yogurt to the other side of the bowl. Now you can be fun + add the other ingredients as you please.

This breakfast is SO simple but extremely filling. I highly recommend it!
